The dining room is looking rather bare, because we finally moved the table out into the garage to begin refinishing it. Alan had stripped it and sanded it previously, but it was in need of some more standing and cleaning up before we stain it. I think we might go with a ebony stain that will pick up the black of the rug and chair legs, but not clash with the wood of the side chairs. Bennett loves the bare dining room look. We find him playing with his toys on it or just rolling around in the middle of it. He is going to be sad to lose his new play area once the table is back!
