Laundry Room Wall

I finally got around to painting the laundry room wall white to prep it for stripes. It has been on my to-do list forever! You might remember me talking about my stripe inspiration a while ago. Originally, I was just going to paint white stripes on the grey and call it a day. Well that plan didn't work out, because of the Ikea rack that we had installed and then took down.

It left some holes from the drywall screws that needed to be patched. That meant the whole wall needed new paint so we just decided to paint it white.

Which now leaves us the option to do any color stripes that we want! Oh, the possibilities.

I just picked up a small premixed can of low VOC paint from Lowes in bright white. Three coats later the wall was ready.

Now all we have to decided is what color to do stripes in. I hope to decide and paint them this weekend.

You may notice that I also used a little white to touch up the area on the door molding where we removed the closet door. That way it is less of an eye sore, but we can pop the door back on at any time.
