Our trip to Atlanta was a success, I don't know how much more we could have even fit into the trailer. We did end up getting the white KARLSTAD sofa I talked about yesterday.
But there was also a few other things we got at IKEA. We got the hanging rack that we put in the laundry room. We also got two BILLY bookcases in white for the office. They were $49.99 each.
We also got the extention to add to the top of the bookcases. They were just $20 each and made the bookcases 14 inches taller.
We also got these super cute nightstands for the guest room called HEMNES for $79.99 each. We really liked that when you put them together you could hang the door on the left or the right side, perfect for nightstands.
We also looked at these HENRIKSDAL stools at IKEA. Or tried to look at them was more like it, because they were out of stock.
But luckily when we left IKEA and headed to CB2, we found these beauties. It is their Phoenix Carbon Barstools and we liked them even more then the others. We thought the leather and chrome would better balance out our white kitchen. So we picked up three of them for $149 each.
While at CB2 we also found my dream end tables for the living room. I had been searching and searching online for some metal side tables with glass tops and these were what I had been dreaming about! The Smart Glass Top Side Table went into the trailer too, two of them for $149 each.
After we were done with CB2, it was off to West Elm. We found these Bubble Quilt and Shams in Horseradish (yellow). The queen quilt was on sale and they no longer have it online. But they still have the shams, which we got for $9.99 each.
And two of these super cute Hand-Blocked Chevron Pillows for $39 each to go with the yellow shams. Then we also got a small grey lumbar pillow, that they no longer have online, to finish off the guest bedroom.
For the guest bath, we fell in love with this striped shower curtain. The guest bath needed something and we were sure this was it. It was $39.
And because I have never met an owl that I didn't like, this little guy had to come home with us too. He was only $9 and is just too cute for words!
Finally, we needed a rug to finish off the living room space and we thought a large jute one would be perfect. The rug had to be and 8 by 10 and West Elm had a couple of different choices in color of their Jute Bouclé Rug.
At first we were thinking the dark grey colored one called Clay. But it was out of stock. This is where it seemed like fate stepped in for us again like it did with the stools. They did have the Platinum in stock and when we really started thinking about it, we were looking at the dark grey one on light line floors in the store. Well our floors are of the dark variety, so the Platinum rug would lighten the space, whereas the dark Clay would have just blended in. That is exactly what we wanted. So it was ours for $279.
That one day we spent more then either of us ever had (besides the house closing). But we had been preparing for it. We knew we needed things for the house and we didn't want to get them before we moved in. Luckily they wrote us a check back during closing. That was an surprise bonus. When does that ever happen?! So that combined with money and gift cards that we had so generously recieved as gifts from the wedding we were able to buy this stuff for our new house. Otherwise I dont think we could have done it. We would still be sitting in camp chairs!
